The Baha'i faith has a temple, or House of Worship on each continent, with the exception of Antarctica. The world headquarters is in Haifa, Israel. Each temple has a beautiful garden. Construction on this temple was begun in 1921 and not finished until 1953. The dome is characteristic of these structures. This is the North American temple, in Wilmette, Illinois, a luxurious, leafy suburb of Chicago.
