Cape Buffalo & Dust, Zimbabwe. I Came Across A Herd Of About 300 Cape Buffalo At A Waterhole On The Bubye Valley Conservancy In Zimbabwe. It Was During An Extreme Drought And There Was Hardly Any Vegetation. The Buffalo Herd Was A Bit Spooky Due To Lion Pressure In The Area, And Upon Our Arrival, They Split Into Smaller Groupings And Ran Off In Different Directions. Their Hoof Action Created Huge Clouds Of Dust Which I Thought Lent Itself To Some Excellent Photographic Opportunities. I Managed To Get A Series Of Shots Before The Buffalo Disappeared Into The Scrub.

It was during an extreme drought and there was hardly any vegetation. The buffalo herd was a bit spooky due to lion pressure in the area, and upon our arrival, they split into smaller groupings and ran off in different directions. Their hoof action created huge clouds of dust which I thought lent itself to some excellent photographic opportunities. I managed to get a series of shots before the buffalo disappeared into the scrub.
