Church In Tábara, Zamora. The Parish Church Of Our Lady Of The Assumption Is Also Known As "The Convent", For Having Belonged To The Convent That Was Run By The Religious Congregations Of The Hieronymites And The Dominicans. In Historical Documents It Is Called "Santa María Jesús De Tábara"It Was Built In 1559 As Part Of The Convent, The School And The House-Palace Of The Marquisate Of Tábara. The Marquis Used It As A Family Chapel, And When The Tábara Mutiny Occurred It Passed Into Private Hands Who Later Transferred It To The Diocese. The Interior Of The Church Stands Out For Its Decoration And Good Conservation, Which Includes Several Carvings Of The Virgin And Christ Of Great Artistic Value.it Is Currently The Parish Church Of The Town.
