Colored Door In Dublin From Georgian Times (18Th Century). In The 18Th Century, During The Hanoverian Period With British Kings Ruling The Island, Several Streets And Places In Dublin Were Redesigned. The Houses At That Time Looked All Very Similar, So To Differentiate The Owners From Their Neighbours, The Doors Were Painted In Different Colors And Given Different Ornaments For Their Windows.

Colored door in Dublin from Georgian times (18th century). In the 18th century, during the Hanoverian period with British kings ruling the island, several streets and places in Dublin were redesigned. The houses at that time looked all very similar, so to differentiate the owners from their neighbours, the doors were painted in different colors and given different ornaments for their windows.
