Cross And Sign Atop Mount Soledad In La Jolla, California. The Mount Soledad Cross Is A Prominent Landmark Located On Top Of Mt. Soledad In The La Jolla Neighborhood Of The City Of San Diego, California. Marble Sign Stating "Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial" Is Visible Beneath The Cross. Cross Was Erected In 1954 And Is The Third Christian Cross In That Location, The First Having Been Put Up In 1913. Made Of Recessed Concrete, Cross Is 29 Feet Tall With A 12-Foot Arm Spread. The Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial Was Dedicated To Serve Those Whom Have Served Their Nation With Distinction And Honor. This Landmark Is A Monument To Pay Respect To Veterans And Granite Plaques Honoring Their Sacrifice Are Present As Part Of This Memorial.
