Emmaus Nicopolis Was An Ancient Roman-Byzantine City Located On The Latrun Ridge, On The Eastern Fringes Of The Ayalon Valley. The City Was Established In The 3Rd Century In A Place Called `Hamat`, And The Greeks Or Samaritans Disrupted The Name And Called The Place Emmaus. The City Was Destroyed With The Arab Conquest Of The Land Of Israel.
