Facade Of The Church Of Santa Maria In Maderuelo. Segovia, Castile And Leon, Spain. This Temple, Which Stands Out For Its Large Size, Houses Several Styles In Its Architectural Aesthetics And Is The Only Segovian Temple With Remains Of The Caliphal Style. It Seems That It Was Part Of The Defensive Enclosure Prior To The Walls That Can Be Seen Today, Inherited From Islamic Rule. The Church Was Partially Rebuilt In The 16Th Century, After A Fire, And On Its Walls You Can See Numerous Renovations And Materials From The Old Thirteen Churches And Convents Of The Town. The Height Of Its Main Nave Stands Out, Topped By A Semicircular Apse And Covered By A Beautiful Wooden Roof. The Mudejar Brick Domes And Windows Located In The Side Nave Are Also Striking. The Belfry, Which Housed Up To 5 Bells, Is A Work From The 18Th Century, Which Replaced A Previous One.
