Mallards, Anas platyrhynchosnchos, are common over most of North American wetlands. Mallards are a type of duck, a common water fowl.
Since they are able to adapt to new environments easily, in many locations they are becoming to be considered as invasive. Still, they are enjoyable to just sit and watch.
