Moroccan Tea Ceremony In A House In A Berber Village In The High Atlas Mountains Of Morocco. Pictured Is A Moroccan Tea Ceremony In A House In A Berber Village In The High Atlas Mountains. My Party Was Brought By A Berber Guide As Part Of A Tour From The Kasbah Du Toubkal, A Unique Mountain Lodge. The Man Pouring The Tea Was The Grandfather Of The House And Began By Boiling Water In The Kettle, Adding Gunpowder Green Tea And Pouring It Into The Silver Teapot. Then Fresh Mint Leaves Were Added And Sugar Added To Taste. After Steeping For Two Minutes, He Poured The Tea Into The Glasses And Back Into The Pot Several Times. When The Tea Was Ready To Be Served He Poured It Into The Glasses From The Silver Pot. His High Degree Of Skill Is Evident From The Height Above The Glass He Is Able To Pour. The Higher You Go The More Respect You Are Showing. His Wife Is Watching From Behind With A Smile.
