The Chattahoochee River is one of the primary water sources for the Atlanta area, and Soap Creek is one of the numerous tributaries that flow into the river.  Soap Creek is a beautiful, rocky stream with many large boulders and an old abandoned mill, as with many of the old streams in the area.  After a significant rain event the water rushing through Soap Creek can flow dangerously fast and cover the boulders.  At calm times, the creek looks serene and is an inviting spot for nature lovers.
