Tahiti Narcissus In Yellow And Orange. Narcissus Is A Genus Of Predominantly Spring Perennial Plants Of The Amaryllidaceae Amaryllis Family. The Flowers Are Generally White Or Yellow Also Orange Or Pink In Garden Varieties, With Either Uniform Or Contrasting Coloured Tepals And Corona. This Is A Tahiti Narcissus. In The 1950S, Irish Daffodil Breeder J. Lionel Richardson Developed A Series Of Flowers With Exotic Names, Including Tahiti. He Was Especially Fond Of Daffodils With Deep Orange In Their Cups, Providing A Striking Contrast To The Brilliant Gold Petals. Narcissus has conspicuous flowers with six petal-like tepals surmounted by a cup- or trumpet-shaped corona. The flowers are generally white or yellow also orange or pink in garden varieties, with either uniform or contrasting coloured tepals and corona. This is a Tahiti narcissus.  In the 1950s, Irish daffodil breeder J. Lionel Richardson developed a series of flowers with exotic names, including Tahiti. He was especially fond of daffodils with deep orange in their cups, providing a striking contrast to the brilliant gold petals.
