Toxicodenron radicans commonly known as poison sumac or eastern poison sumac, is an allergenic flowering plant that grows in Asia and eastern North America. This species is notorious for causing urushiol-induced contact dermatitis, a rash that is itchy, irritating, and sometimes painful, in most people who touch it. The rash is caused by urushiol, a clear liquid compound in plant sap.
