While walking in the East Coventry township nature preserve in a field I saw this dead tree trunk where a tree used to be. In the wood there was a huge hole from where a woodpecker must have either lived or looked for bugs. Even thought his is dead, these birds loves these objects in the woods to help them get food. I love the grey look to this and how the bark is slowly falling off.
